The name

Pared is Spanish for wall. In padel the wall is where the point turns.

Padel is played inside glass. The ball you had given up on comes back off it, and the game is in the step back toward the wall, the reach behind you, the ball taken late and sent home. Every piece we make starts from one of those moments: the overhead that pulls a polo out of the waistband, the court that was free at one o'clock in July, the night session under the floodlights.

Then it has to work after. Padel is the most social racket sport there is, and the match ends at the bar, on the terrace, on the walk home. So nothing looks like kit: one colour a piece, good cloth, and a logo you have to look for.

Who it is for.

The club regular

The player who joined a club in Miami, New York or Madrid in the last couple of years and now plays three evenings a week. Who already owns the pro-shop polyester and wants a few pieces they are proud to wear, on court and off it. Who cares that the hem stays down on the bandeja, and cares just as much how the cardigan looks at dinner.

We make nine pieces for them, in one colour each, and the six things they carry onto the court, and we change a piece only when a player tells us what it did at the glass.

How it is made.

Northern Portugal

Cut and sewn in northern Portugal. The polo in mercerised pima piqué, the cardigan knitted to shape in extra-fine merino, the half-zip in superfine merino, the dress in recycled crepe printed by sublimation, so the print is part of the cloth. Every piece is pressed, hung and checked by hand before it reaches the rail.

We make each piece in numbered runs rather than seasons. Run 01 of Collection 01 is on the rail now. See the rail
